1. Who we are

Lio Food is a brand of Metro Trading Company, Latakia, Syria, with production by Sindyan For Food Manufacturing. This policy explains how we handle personal data collected through lio-food.com. For any privacy matter, contact us at info@lio-food.com.

2. What we collect

Contact & sales inquiries: your name, email, phone, company, country/city, the products you're interested in, and your message.

Job applications: your name, contact details, location, position preferences, professional background, and the CV file you upload.

We do not collect payment information through this website. Your language preference is stored as a single setting inside your own browser and is never sent to us. We also use Google Analytics, which places cookies — section 3 explains exactly what that records.

3. Cookies and analytics

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how the site is used — which pages get read, which products draw interest, and whether visitors prefer the English or the Arabic version. To do that, Google places cookies in your browser that let it recognise a repeat visit.

What is recorded: the pages you open, the approximate location your connection reports (country and city — we ask Google to anonymise the address itself), your device and browser type, the site or search that brought you here, and which language version you read.

What is not recorded: your name, email, phone number, or anything you type into a form. Contact inquiries and job applications are never sent to Google. We do not use analytics for advertising and we do not share this data with advertisers.

If you would rather not be counted, you can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, browse in private mode, or install Google's official opt-out add-on at tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout. The site works normally either way.

4. Why we use it

To respond to your inquiry, process your job application, communicate with you about opportunities, and operate our hiring process. We process this data based on your consent, given when you submit a form, and our legitimate interest in responding to requests you initiate.

5. AI-assisted screening

For job applications, we may use AI tools to help our team assess how an application matches a role's requirements. This is decision support only: AI never rejects or accepts an application automatically — every decision is made by a human recruiter. You may request information about, or object to, AI-assisted processing of your application by contacting us.

6. Sharing

We never sell your data. It is accessible only to authorized Lio Food staff and the service providers that run our infrastructure (hosting, email delivery, AI processing, and website analytics), each bound to use it solely to provide their service to us.

7. Retention

Inquiries are kept as long as needed to handle your request and maintain our business records. Job applications and CVs are kept while a role is open and for up to 12 months afterwards so we can consider you for future opportunities — unless you ask us to delete them sooner.

8. Your rights

You may request a copy of the personal data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it at any time by emailing info@lio-food.com. We respond to all requests within 30 days.

9. Security & changes

Data is stored on access-controlled systems with role-based permissions, and CVs are not publicly accessible. We may update this policy from time to time; the date above reflects the latest revision.
